At the original point of sale when Courage breweries were considering selling the Steam Packet a video company that was operating from the old Pier House Laundry next door produced,at there own expense,a film that showed all the good points about the pub,and why it shouldn't be sold.It had a soundtrack by Chas and Dave and it was said to have cost £6000 to produce
