Don't really understand the tack of the original post. The article seems fair enough to me, perhaps it would have been interesting to hear from Lend Lease but they have given the impression so far of not really being interested in engagement with the press.

I never really understood the basis for the legal challenge and felt it was quixotic even before this most recent set back. Lend Lease seem to have been determined to whip up opposition by being evasive about the scheme and distributing deliberately misleading images of what it would look like. When you actually look at the details it is not that bad with the disbenefit of a higher tower on the High Road and other two buildings being offset the creation of much needed housing and the removal of a blue glass monstrosity.

There should be nothing but admiration and respect for those who spend their time and effort (and in this case money) to do what they feel is necessary to protect their local area. However, in this case I feel perhaps the wrong target was chosen. Is there going to be the will and the resources to fight bigger and perhaps more winnable battles against local over-development in the future?
