I think I would disagree with your categorisation of London, its a patchwork of 'villages', many of which have changed considerably but have retained their unique character and feel. THat is an importnat part of what gives London its character. ALso, 'high rise' is a very broad concept. It doesnt have to be 30 storeys. Interesting that there are lots of flats currently being built in central Hammersmith, none of which appear to be above 7 or 8 storeys. Sadly LBH take a different attitude. I think people that think 30% 'affordable' means they can buy that will be sorely disappointed. Its a very loose definition. |
