| Certainly does sound like a good idea - but doesn't by far and away most of the traffic leaving (or coming into)London on the A4 continue on the A4, so all these cars would still negotiate the roundabout. Would a replacement flyover for the A4 instead be more useful? More expensive and intrusive - although I think the Hammersmith flyover works quite well in association with its surroundings. As well as a flyover ever can. A tunnel would be much better. I would find it strange if there had been opposition to this - I believe cost is what usually rules out tunnels |
