I am not sure that it is that easy. Is the side you are on on welfare the defining factor of left or right? And there are lots of subtleties within that. Many people are fiercely against any loss of benefits to the disabled, including things like the bedroom tax as it applies to the slong term sick or disabled, but accept that there are many people on benefits who are drawing more for doing nothing than people who are working very hard and want to see benefits more in line with what working people earn. Are the latter left or right? |
