Something doesn't add up about all this.

The overwhelming majority of Labour MPs are right wing.  At the nominations stage Jeremy Corbyn found himself with only about a dozen genuine supporters, his other nominees having been loaned by his rivals "to broaden the debate".

Every one of those MPs was selected by members of their own constituency party.  I don't know about other areas, but the meeting which selected Ruth Cadbury was very well attended by members judging from the photographs which were published.

If the majority of MPs are right wing it is counter-intuitive to imagine that the majority of those who selected them are left wing.  And a few Tory and/or "hard left" infiltrators cannot possibly account for the kind of numbers that are supporting Corbyn.

I'm sure that if JC looks like he might win at the second ballot one or other of his remaining rivals will drop out.  If he were to win the contest before that can happen he will be ousted within a couple of months by his fellow MPs because his policies cannot be reconciled with the establishment's agenda to which the other candidates are clearly signed up.
