I think that's good advice Claire. My partner is has not been well for a long time and has several permanent conditions. As a result I often take notes on important meetings. Trouble is when i compare my notes to the authorities I often end up thinking, "Was I at the same meeting?" On a lighter note, and being a school teacher, sometimes, occasionally, I grade their spelling, punctuation and grammar, as well as their overall letter writing skills....... some of them do scrape a pass. On one occasion, I did actually offer a free literacy refresher course for one particularly poor minute-taker but he never got to back to me. I think he had a tad too much admin to be getting on with, poor chap.
