I think it's very ill-timed, and with IPSA it's the perfect excuse, 'we don't really think it's right but what can we do?' Personally I would pay them a lot more and stop every single perk they get now, and definitely the subsidised bars, booze and food. Let them get a flat salary and do what the rest of us do and pay for what they want from that. It would be more transparent and stop all the nonsense about exes and the bureaucracy required to process it all. However, not now, it is so unfair when the public sector has been reigned in for so long and so many are struggling on zero hours minimum wages.
