An excellent explanation by Pat Smith and its confirmed that the Vihara pay for their permits, so what is the problem? If LBH decided to take away resident perrmit parking from the ever so tolerant good folk of Chiswick and give it over to meters, I suspect there would be very loud screams of 'how dare they?' Also if Vihara volunteers wish to drive from wherever they live then surely that's their choice? Who has the right to dictate how anyone gets from A to B? I also see that Will Watson appears to being telling the Vihara and its volunteers that they should use Tesco delivery service - by what right? Last time I checked this wasn't a Fascist country and we still had freedom of choice. The Vihara provides space for its many charitable works and not just for Buddhists, Perhaps a bit more tolerance and understanding? |
