If you are looking for dog day care where a person or company provides accommodation for the dog during the day then please make sure that they are licensed by the local authority. This is a requirement under The Animal Boarding Establishments Act 1963. If the accommodation is incidental to another purpose (eg at a vets when there for vet treatment) then a licence is not required. Licensing ensures that the premises are monitored for welfare and disease control etc.
