A few months back I would have said the same about Monarch, but a couple of recent over-charging incidents have made me take my business elsewhere. The 1st was a late night pick-up from Gatwick with multiple drops in Chiswick, which was all communicated, including addresses, upfront and a price agreed with the office. The driver then demanded more money from the final 2 passengers. I called to complain the next day and was told that the guy who runs the company would get back to me, but he never did. The second was a couple of months back when a price was agreed upfront to a specific destination in Fulham. Again, the driver demanded more money - I called Monarch to sort out, but was told that they had outsourced the job to a competitor "because we were busy and the other company can charge what they like" - Monarch just didn't want to know. That triggered me to download Uber and I have not had a single problem since... |
