I'd be interested in recommendations too - I tried my "usual" Chiswick company to pick up a visitor and take her back to hotel in Bayswater and they didn't answer the phone. So tried another local firm, who did answer and had good texting service for booking confirmation and for when they arrived. Tried the latter the next day and THEY didn't answer. 2 days later went to company number 1's office, which was closed with a note saying "trying an experiment" and only staffing the office from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. - no-one was there in spite of it being noon. Then phoned company number one. They didn't answer. Neither did company number 2. So a good current recommendation would be appreciated or I'm going to abandon the "support local businesses" cause and start resorting to Uber/Hailo etc. |
