You aren't really helping your defence by peddling more untruths. Uber feature rates from Gatwick on their site so they certainly don't accept that pick ups from there are illegal. The primary insurance is the driver's and they wouldn't be able to argue that picking up from Gatwick invalidated the policy unless it was specifically excluded which it isn't. Even if it was or for some reason the driver's insurance was invalid there is Uber's umbrella policy. This means the passenger has a double level of protection unlike in a mini-cab or a black cab. Not that it matters much as there are a limited number of circumstances in which insurance is relevant to the passenger as opposed to the driver. |
