You are right Birna.  I am glad I was born when I was to enjoy London probably at its best.  I think it is downhill from here.  I have seen lovely squares and al fresco areas created in what were previously dull places in Central London - eg round the Saatchi Gallery in Chelsea, behind Piccadilly Circus etc, but although future generations may benefit from more advanced technology and healthcare (although the way we are going maybe not) but they will have a worse quality of life including a far worse visual experience of City living and with all the terrible problems that high rise living brings.  These problems have been proven time and time again as having a very negative impact on the people who live in them and on society generally but the money men just carry on building.
