I agree with you apart from the last sentence. But Labour have done an awful lot to ruin London too. London, the countryside and other cities are always vulnerable when short term monetarism and the desire of politicians and councils to protect and get the most money from their jobs - at least until the next election - trumps longer term planning and a desire to leave a decent country to future generations. The bumptious, philandering Mayor has only one thing in his favour - he is against Heathrow expansion. |
