| Never had ill-grace from a Heathrow cab driver. If not being picked up by Monarch (which is rare) and I get a cab it is generally fine. I think it is the luck of the draw. We usually have a laugh, they gallantly help me in with my luggage and wait to see if I have got in the door. Not saying at all that it doesn't happen but these days cab drivers are usually glad to get a fare - Monarch tell me they have very quiet days which is not what a small business wants, and I try to support them as much as I can. They are pretty accommodating, like most cab drivers in London they have some drivers that for religious reasons won't take animals but they go out of their way to try to provide me with drivers that will when I need it, even in emergencies and I am very grateful to them for that. |
