I don't believe it is cobblers at all Pete. If it was, why would the original poster have endured ill-grace if he paid in any event a high fee of £50. I think the black cab driver was indeed totally cheesed off that he didn't get his normal £100 fare into the west end. If not why the ill-grace? Was he hoping for a £60 fare or £70 or £80? What exactly is the current minimum fare the public can expect from a Heathrow black cab so as not to endure the ill-grace, the huffs and puffs and the general rudeness and verbal abuse? What is the cost to get a smile and a sense of 'welcome home' or 'welcome to our country' that one enjoys in other major cities around the world? |
