| Andy, the phone you recommend sounds like a good idea, but I find it a bit galling that the various phone companies can't provide a blocking service for free. Given the sophistication of today's electronic equipment, it must be perfectly possible for a customer to have specific numbers blocked when they try to contact their phone. Most of my unwanted calls arrive on my mobile, which is handy because they always come up as 'Unknown', and I can simply delete the call immediately. One of most frequent callers, under a variety of numbers, is some gang of shysters called the 'Pension Review Team'. Needless to say, if you try to contact them to express your displeasure, you can never get to speak to an actual person. |
