Thanks for clarifying Patrick. It was me who published the expected date of closure in the original thread but it seems now that this is somewhat misleading. Doesn't that invalidate the original notice?

Also there will be a far greater range of people who will use this bridge other than those in the streets immediately surrounding the area. Given the attacks on women that have taken place all within a short distance of this area in recent weeks I would suggest more effort is made to let people know about the closure.
