Extract from a letter issued from London Underground to residents of Hardwicke Road, Bridge Street and surrounds which may be of interest.

Dear Sir/Madam,

To facilitate embankment stabilisation works between Chiswick Park and Turnham Green, it has been necessary for London Underground to arrange the temporary suspension of all parking bays on Hardwicke Road and pedestrian access along the footpath leading from 3 Hardwicke Road across the railway to Bridge Street. The suspensions are effective during the following periods:

• 1 December until 19 December 2014
• 5 January until late May 2015

The suspensions will ensure works are undertaken efficiently and allow the safe movement of site traffic during the work. London Underground apologises for any inconvenience this may cause.
During the work equipment, materials and spoil will be delivered/removed by road to/from a temporary works compound that will be located on part of Acton Common close to Hardwicke Road. From here it will be transferred to/from the worksite by small plant. The compound will be secured by hoarding and a remotely monitored security system.
Our hours of work during the programme will be 8am until 5pm Monday to Friday and Saturdays 8am until 1.30pm. All vehicle movements will be overseen by a banksman and the road swept regularly.

Although some noise and increased traffic in your area is unavoidable during the works, we will do our best to limit any disturbance. London Underground has discussed the works with the London Boroughs of Ealing and Hounslow and any noise will be controlled by ‘Best Practicable Means’ in accordance with the Control of Pollution Act 1974.
If you have any queries about these works please contact London Underground Community Relations:
Phone: 0343 222 7878 (24 hours)
Write: London Underground Community Relations, 5th floor, Palestra, 197 Blackfriars Road London, SE1 8NJ.

Thank you for your understanding while this work is being carried out.
