| Please could I ask the cat community of Chiswick for some help? During the last 24 hours, Maizi, our 5 year old cat has suddenly started to have seizures for no apparent reason. We are investigating this with the vet (and I'd record my thanks to Ono at Grove Park Vets for dealing with a panic stricken client this afternoon) but it looks very likely that she will need to start long term medication to control this. The issue we have is that although she is a much loved family pet she is not an easy cat to deal with (and we are cat novices) and we are trying to figure out how to get medication into her - a particular problem is that she only eats dry cat food (with occasional insects on the side) so trying to sneak it into treats just won't work. We also have the interesting problem that getting her into a cat basket is borderline impossible - not great if she will need regular check ups. Is there anybody out there please who would be able to help us through this - ideally if they could support us through the initial stages and teach us what to do that would be great.
