I don't think it is easier to hook up the bins than throw a sack into the back. Didn't the report say that the number of households serviced by a lorry in a day is reduced when a round chnages over to wheelie bins ? I guess if may be easier to hook up one bin than throw six bags into the lorry. I think the whole case is built upon savings from reducing the amount sent to landfill - but angering locals who already do a good job in maximising recycling isn't the way to do it.
