Jill, I have just received my renewal quote for my Alfie's insurance with Animal Friends insurance and it is £62 a month.Alf is incredibly fit and has never had a days illness in the 8 years that I have had him.He has been insured all the time I have had him, and the only claim I have made was for £500 when he had a small wart on his eyelid removed.Because of his age, this years quote is over 50% more than it was last year.It's a gamble whether to take out insurance or not.My last dog needed major surgery for a perforated bowel.He wasn't insured, and I got a bill for £4600.You take your chances with insurance.
