Kevin is right - there has been hardly any discussion of this with threads on the subject so far largely dominated by list obsessives determined to show their knowledge of the relative heights of tall buildings.

The reason is probably that the proposal is so outrageous that few people believe it is likely to happen. Obviously, you can't lodge an objection to a planning application that hasn't been made yet but the Council's attitude may be affected by the apparent complacency of residents towards the idea.
