Bobby,

I am impressed!

If you find buttermilk expensive and hard to get hold of then just use Yoghurt - it just provides acid for the bicarb to bubble.

White is great, but wholemeal is good too!

reduce the bicarb until it rises properly but you don't taste the flavour.

Next step yeasted breads - not that complicated and a completely different taste - but sodabread is definately a same day rescue as it can be 45mins from bowl to table :)

But still seriously impressed!
