The directive is clear. Empty & flush & clean tanks and hoppers as soon as practicable after a storm. Drain down and clean will be completed within 12 hours after tank is available for storm water to be returned to treatment. The trigger level for investigating odour release at the boundary is 0.015 ppm H2S, sustained on any one monitor (since single transient ‘spikes’ occur occasionally) for a minimum of 20 minutes. |
