Having attended the drop-in it would seem that new equipment was installed to clean the tanks last December. This worked fine until June, and since then they have been trying to discover what the 'technical problem' is. In the meantime they have been manually cleaning the tanks when necessary, i.e. after a heavy down pour. This does seem to mitigate the smell but normally takes place a day or two after the rain, so residents at the southern end of Greenend Road (adjacent to tanks one and two) have endured nasty odours.
Responding to another point, residents have been complaining since June and I was told today that TW have had about 60 complaints. I have contacted Regulatory Services at Ealing to apply pressure on TW.
