I'm sure you're right Chris but it seems absurd. This ruling arose out of the very controversial decision to allow the Moscow State Circus to have a session on TG, which is a very different circumstance to a sports day. And which in any case happened sixteen years ago. I've no doubt that if the ombudsman service had been around 100 years ago they might have upheld a complaint about ladies wearing trousers or skirts finishing above the knee on Turnham Green. Would that still have to be honoured? |
