its all such a viscious circle. The media spread rumours of a crash in the market, so everyone stops buying and spending, causing an even bigger economic crisis. Though, having seen about 25 properties in the last 3 weeks, prices really dont seem to be dropping in this area. Chiswick seems to be staying pretty constant, if not going up. The prices compared to this time last year are considerable higher. Chiswick will always be a great place to live. it is close enough to the city, but with a slight country feel. It has great transport links (air, train, tube, road) and is definately a middle class area. It is perfect for families moving from notting hill and knightbridge, who want more space... It is always going to be a "top of the market" town. right now, i would rather live in a 2 bed flat in chiswick, than a 4 bed house in brentford... (no offence meant). before i get any sly remarks, i am not an estate agent, and my partner no longer works in the area, so this is a completely unbias view.. |
