Interesting point about BTL Emily. There may be overpriced new-builds everywhere but, if large numbers decide not to buy, the lack of affordable mortgages makes it impossible for first-timers to buy and, more decide to sell up and ride out the turmoil over the next 18 months or so, they will all need to live somewhere. Another consideration is that developers are pulling in their horns on starting new builds, which means there will eventually be an even greater shortfall of affordable, good quality rental property. Comments? ps I'm not a developer! |
