As other have pointed out, there's been increased traffic in the residential streets just south of the Bollo Lane crossings, which, from the type of vehicles involved, is probably linked to the increased use of SatNavs to avoid delays on the traditional routes. It could be said that, if the crossings close, these drivers would equally rely on their SatNavs to find an alternative route, but the residents south of the crossings will be somewhat cut off from going the north. What I suspect will be most challenging will be building suitably accessible alternative pedestrian/cycle/wheelchair crossings here, and equally at the other proposed closures. Compare with what they did back in the day at Chiswick Station, where they built an elegant new road bridge to take traffic over the railway!
