In that photo the driver waiting to exit right, would have to scan SCR for traffic heading south, Barrowgate the other side and then judge the speed of the bus. If all was clear and the bus wasn't going too fast they could quickly make an exit. If any other cars appeared then the exit could be blocked by the time they'd made their move.
Wild card is of course the cyclist. I'd have held off until they were well out the way - if the cyclist decided to move out into the road as the maneuver was taking place, they could be brown bread. And that's assuming they'd seen the cyclist. I wouldn't cycle down there past the boxes as they've made it far too dangerous now. |
