| David, thanks for deciphering my mangled sentence and getting my meaning. I would argue that a system that is meant to impose standards not being standard is the very definition of dysfunction. As I've acknowledged before, you know more about the way the system works and its inadequacies. However, admirable as your desire to support this business is, you aren't going to persuade most people there wasn't an issue. You do raise an important issue about over-zealous regulation and I think you'll agree this becomes a more acute issue as businesses struggle with squeezed margins. A possible solution would be that a restaurant with high food hygiene and preparation standards could score no lower than three stars. |
