| You always see these issues through your right-wing prism. It's nothing to do with woke or anti-woke. The debate is, or should be, much more nuanced than that. It's a question of how we can maintain protected spaces for women, without being insensitive to the desires of people with gender dysphoria. In this context, I deprecate your use of the term "fake women". It's exactly that sort of blundering insensitivity we need to avoid. I believe the Supreme Court decision was probably right, but it's tough for transgender women who really see themselves as women, not to be accepted as such. One area of difficulty can obviously be reduced through a greater provision of unisex loos. But in sport there's no accommodation possible: the fact is that competition between women canot be fair if transgender women who have gone through male puberty are allowed to compete. |
