| Sorry Susan but there is a problem. Wimbledon to Earls Court on Wednesday morning - 2 BAME youths board without masks and then walk the entire length of the tube plus 1 young female, ears blocked with music does the same. How did they get through the barriers- because the staff will not challenge them. Thursday morning HSBC bank. 5 of us queuing socially distanced for the teller at the back with a young Sudanese (because he said so) wanting to send money abroad but he didn’t have the necessary documentation. Mask worn round his neck very dirty and well used. I asked him to put it on to which he replied that he was asthmatic. I said that I was sorry to hear that but did he have an inhaler. No but he put the mask on. 10 minutes later looked round the corner and mask round his neck. Told him to put it on again as he was putting everyone at risk and he had a duty and responsibility towards fellow customers as well as the teller. He said he wasn’t endangering the teller because he had a screen. Pointed out that the screen had a gap at the bottom through which air could easily pass while he was talking. Another 10 minutes of irrelevant chatter and he left but did apologise to the queue. Friday afternoon queuing outside Barclays when very determined unmasked little old woman, looks at the line then walks up to the doors, when they open to let someone out she nips in and marches to the back, stands right behind the woman being assisted at the counter. When asked to distance she aggressively informs very nice staff member that she doesn’t know what she is talking about and is stupid Quite a tirade actually. So where do we go from there? Every non compliant person is a danger to others. |
