| To answer the OP's question, I've been to the Acton centre on Stirling way today (Thursday) and yesterday (Wednesday). First thing to note is that although more people are using it (due to lockdown), they've actually reduced the opening hours. I assume this is to avoid being overwhelmed and I have some sympathy. Anyhow, the centre currently closes at 4 pm, but last entry is 3.30pm. Also, you cannot park nearby and walk in with rubbish - it's car only. And only one person is allowed out of the car at a time to unload stuff. When I went on Wednesday, I arrived at 2 pm and the wait was 45 minutes. However on Thursday I was a little later and the queue was about 25 mins. One of the staff said that Tuesdays and Wednesdays can be very busy, even first thing, because two neighbouring centres are closed on those days. Thursdays are better, as my own experience demonstrated. Tbh, you need to allow at least an hour's waiting time to be on the safe side. And bring some water, since there is no shade on Stirling Road in the middle of the day/early afternoon. Greenford sometimes gets blocked for up to 4 hours apparently! |
