I like the George IV their staff are always friendly and helpful to me in all matters.  I have been there until one am before at a gig and they have ushered out a noisy boisterous crowd with good humor and a nod to the safety of the punters.  But 01.00am closure does not mean drinking until 01.00am as the licensee has the duty to be closed without any customers at 01.00am.  Would you go to Sainsbury's at 07.15am if they said they closed at 07.00am?  i take you were not abused or manhandled as you would have mentioned it. if you want to be considered a good customer when you next go in tell them you are sorry you were stroppy to them and you appreciate their service.  I can guarantee you will not be the last served at a packed bar again
