I have lived in Chiswick for over 60 years.It used to be a lovely area.most people would leave their back doors open and neighbours would just come and go.There were very few cars and the local kids would play in the street.But now I hate what Chiswick is becoming.Filthy streets.Boarded up shops.Rabbit hutch sized flats being squeezed into any little bit of vacant land.Streams of jets passing overhead 18 hours a day.I can remember the days when the check ins at Heathrow were in tents and the runway was a grass strip.How times change.I don't like waking up in the morning with the taste of vehicle pollution in my mouth.Or costantly being woken by the unnecessary wailing of police cars or ambulances all through the night.I thought I would see my days out in Chiswick.But i'm afraid it's time to up sticks and move on.I've finally had enough of Chiswick and all of its problems.It also helps to nudge my decision in this direction as for what our property would sell for,we could buy an island somewhere warm where I could have my own palm tree to sit under
