| Philippa.There may not be enough room for everybody to have a car.But that doesn't stop councils charging thousands of people £££'s for a parking permit each year.They do not restrict the number of permits issued to match the number of parking bays available.On the application form for a parking permit it used to say that having a permit does not guarantee a parking spot.So they are just selling these permits to anyone who can supply the documentation required.I wonder how many times more permits have been sold than available parking spaces exist ? This is just profiteering by the councils.How many more industries would be able to get away with selling something they don't have to supply.Ridiculous |
