| The point is really that cars generally don't get parked on the pavement but bikes do. If TfL achieve their targets for encouraging cycling, which we should all hope they do, then there will be a lot more bikes on pavements. The small minority of cyclists who cycle in an anti-social way are also going to leave their bikes in places that inconvenience others. We have to see this as price worth paying for the benefits increased cycling brings but we shouldn't pretend their aren't going to be some costs. |
