Vanessa Smith: "Hounslow should join with the councils across London and the country and demand the government have a common recycling/refuse policy" Central government should (already does?) set national policy on recycling etc, but if it is also to intervene eg to the operational level of choosing people's bins and how they're emptied, then you'd have to ask what is the point of having local councils in the first place? |
