This extract from the Alan Godfrey Map you mentioned may be helpful to readers. The arrow points to the cross.
Interestingly my old School chum Coleshill and his family used to live at No.78 in the 1950s and 1960s, and Forumer Janet (now in NZ) lived across the road.
