When recently returning from the States, my husband had both his laptop and Blackberry Playbook (smart tab) stolen by baggage handlers at Heathrow airport. Having since researched online thefts at Heathrow, we can see how naive it was to have checked them in (albeit with a combination lock plus a padlock, which had disappeared when returned), as Heathrow ranks right at the top of the list for thieving baggage handlers according to various sources. Has anyone else had any experience of writing to British Airways at Heathrow about this, and what was the upshot? I'm just wondering if I'm wasting my time... Thanks. |
