Not sure where to start in response. Quite obviously everything you say is awful for anyone to go through and please don't think you don't have my sympathies - I may be a bloke but I've had ex-girlfriends who were the subject of stalkers and I do know from experience that it's a horrible and difficult position to be in. At the same time, there are always two sides to every story. Not necessarily in terms of an individual's actions, but inevitably some people who are personally acquainted with that individual will have a different personal experience of being in that individual's company. All Joy did was tell us her personal experience of that individual, nothing more nothing less, and yet other posters were very condescending towards her as though her personal experience was irrelevant. My view remains that by posting as you have on here, citing laudable intentions, the actual likely consequence of such posting is more harmful than beneficial, and instead of "stopping", to me there's an increased potential for things to escalate again. I know the times I tried to confront a stalker and rationally suggest they were not doing anyone any good and the consequences for all were undesirable the outcome was that it only escalated the situation. To be honest, I think it is better for everyone if we leave this thread alone. |
