I'm glad that Dominic Moran has acquaintances (like Pete and like Joy) who feel moved to come onto the forum and tell us that they 'like the bloke' and have enjoyed his 'well behaved' company 'without incident'. There's nothing wrong with standing up for your friends. But whilst I understand Pete's phrase 'I see as I find', it's a little creepy that neither of these admirers could spare a thought in their posts for my husbands experience. My account was not an opinion it was a statement of fact; Moran was convicted and, for your information pleaded GUILTY of these assaults (as indeed was the case in the recent criminal damage and endangering life charge). Do Moran's acquaintances really think contributors to this forum should refrain from highlighting these very serious matters (matters already judged in court and now firmly in the public domain) just to avoid offence? I guess Moran has to beat up their partner or crash his car into their living room before 'see as I find' or entertaining time spent 'without incident' switches to a less cold-blooded, blinkered view? Adam - you're wrong. There has been no publicity on W4 about the assaults on my husband or anywhere else. The purpose of my post was to let people know what happened to us and point out that the current front page story is not an isolated incident. |
