Each to their own I suppose. I just don't see what posting such a personal thing on here achieves. It doesn't aid physical recovery nor to me would it help someone emotionally put the incident behind them, indeed quite the opposite. If someone killed or purposely injured a member of my family then I personally couldn't ever forgive that person, but I wouldn't seek some kind of retribution by posting about that person on a website - it would be a much more direct form of retribution not involving any third parties. I just don't understand the purpose of such a post or what reaction it is expected/intended to elicit from readers. I could perhaps understand it if Mr. Moran was about to be awarded a Nobel prize and all and sundry were lavishing praise on him, but that's not exactly the case. But ultimately, like Monica but in the opposite way, I too never cease to be amazed how in general many people seem willing to publicise their lives as much as possible to elicit a reaction, usually through the use of social media like Facebook, Twitter etc. |
