Adam Beamish says he doesn't understand the purpose of my post. Why would this woman want to publicise such private matters he asks. Retribution? To assist my emotional recovery? Moran was sentenced for the attacks on my husband some 16 months ago and this case was never reported in the press. Neither my husband, myself or anyone I know has spoken out about this. For your information Adam we have indeed 'put it behind us' and 'got on with our lives'. We seek neither retribution or public sympathy. No, the reason for my post - although clear to some readers - obviously needs more explanation. Perhaps, Adam, you would understand this better if you were woman. During the assault on my husband a threat was issued against him and it frightened me to the core. In the weeks following the assaults, I feared our family home would be attacked. We have an eight year old son. Every time a car pulled up at night I woke in panic. But the fear that gripped me then pales into insignificance compared to that felt by our friend (who was with my husband when the attacks occurred). She is a single mum with teenage boys and the focus of Dominic Moran's jealous rage. For her the harassment has escalated over the several years that have passed since their short-lived relationship broke down. Over that time there have been numerous arrests and restraining orders and now this terrifying attack on her home (as reported in W4 last week). Her younger son sleeps with a chair propping his bedroom door handle. The lenience of Moran's suspended sentence shocked me. W4's front page story on the case offered an opportunity to support this woman by posting on the forum. It's not ideal, it's messy, all forums are ... but it has allowed me to lodge online the assaults on my husband and demonstrate that the criminal damage incident is not an isolated incident and these incidents are connected. I fear that the worst is yet to come. Yes, I want the Chiswick community to know the facts. If this makes him ashamed, remorseful, willing to leave this woman alone, then great. I want his friends and acquaintances to ask him why he is doing this, and urge him to get help. Above all I want this woman's nightmare to stop. What I'm not prepared to do is sit back and watch this thing escalate. I want it to STOP. Hope this explains my motivation a little better Adam.
