"it's always perplexing to be regularly held on a Piccadilly Line train at Hyde Park Corner, in order to regulate the service, knowing that signal problems or whatever mean the main Piccadilly Line daytime service cannot be delayed by a stop at Turnham Green." In my view the current timetable is so slack that the signalling limitation at TG is barely valid as a reason for not stopping. LU seem to be intent on pursuing reliability of service at the expense of frequency and capacity, yet as we saw yesterday, reliability on the District at TG can be poor even when LU declares a "good service". Don't forget that if you are delayed by 15 minutes or more for reasons within LU's control, you can claim a refund. http://www.tfl.gov.uk/tfl/tickets/refunds/tuberefund/default.aspx |
