I was at TG around 09.10 on Monday morning. Arrived to find a crowded platform & an LU guy announcing an Eastbound District line train in '7 minutes'. Tackled him about requesting a Piccadilly line stop & he said this had been requested & refused. Another commuter made the same request. Five minutes later we are told the Eastbound train will arrive in, wait for it, 7 minutes. Hit the button on the communications panel & asked for them to request a Piccadilly line stop again, guy said this had been requested, & refused, but he would repeat the request. LU staff at TG are great, and do their very best, but LU itself simply does not give a damn about large numbers of commuters delayed at TG & refuses to allow a Piccadilly stop knowing full well this will only add to demands for a permanent service. |
