| Adam, I embrace the existing teenage mothers refuge that I currently live next door to. I admit, I did not like it at first, but 10 years down the line I am fine with it. And I empathise with the young vulnerable kids in our borough. There are eight or ten young mothers, give or take, at 50-54 SCR... That works. Homeless hostels for 26 don't work so well. They are more effective when they are smaller units. I would be very happy if they did something about the architecture and made it a hostel for 6-10 homeless people. There is half a chance that our governement taxes and council tax would then be going to a worthwhile project with a better chance of success. It would also mean less loss of amenity for many residents in the local vicinity... |
